Report A Rare Species Sighting

Plantation forests provide habitat for many rare species. A number of endangered or threatened species either live, feed or pass through Kaingaroa Tipu managed forests. 

We follow NES-CF best practice guidelines to protect and ensure the protection of these rare species, and in particular we use the NZFOA Threatened Species website to guide our approach. 

Please include a description of the rare species sighted, how many etc.
Please supply GPS coordinates if available.
Please include any distinguishing features of the environment that your rare speicies findings are located e.g. forest clearing, dense bush, reserve area, wetland area etc.
Please include the type of behavior the rare species is presenting if an animal/bird e.g., aggressive dive bombing, vocalizing, sitting and watching etc.
