Business Forest Access Health & Safety Induction

Keeping workers safe in our forests

The forests we manage are production forests where commercial operations are being undertaken throughout. The risks and hazards associated with commercial forestry operations can include but are not limited to oversized vehicles, large plant and machinery moving around on our forest roads and forestry workers and crews undertaking various operations throughout the forests.

Any person, who needs to access our forests, for business purposes will need to complete a Business Forest Access Health & Safety Induction before applying for a Business Access Permit.

It’s important to remember that you have a personal responsibility for ensuring the health and safety of yourself and other forest users and therefore every person accessing our forests must complete their own induction.

Applications will not be accepted on behalf of others. This induction will provide you with important safety information and make you aware of the possible hazards you may encounter while in our forests.

You will need to read the induction presentation and successfully complete the questionnaire, by clicking on the link below, to receive your Business Forest Access Health & Safety Induction certificate. Please ensure that you note the certificate number as this is required for your Business Forest Access Permit application. Your Business Forest Access Health & Safety Induction certificate must be renewed annually so we’ll send you a notification when your certificate is nearing expiry.
